This gentleman has been at the society’s yard sales for many years. There will be a licensed New Jersey gold/silver dealer available to buy your unwanted metals on the first day of the Encampment, August 5. Admission to all is free and donations are greatly appreciated. The Lizzie Herbert Gift Shop will feature specials and a large array of costume jewelry. The historical society will be grilling and selling hamburgers and hot dogs, soft drinks, and also, have a homemade bake sale. Our signature Halloween event is back Experience themed shows, character meet & greets, LEGO activities and of course, trick-or-treating. The Brick PAL has a variety of programs and services offered with the children in mind. They sleep in tents and make their own food over a fire pit. The Brick Township Police Athletic League (PAL) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency formed to provide children an alternative to roaming the street or getting involved with juvenile crime-and the habits that can come from hanging out with the wrong crowd. The soldiers will camp out for the weekend, marching, firing guns, interacting with the public and explaining what life was like during an encampment. The Brick Township Historical Society will host the 61st New York Regiment for a Civil War Encampment on its Havens Homestead Museum Property, 521 Herbertsville Rd., Brick. ![]()
